Doom Bowl 2 (Nuffle’s Curse)

Welcome back sports fans, Martin (Furian) Fouler here!
Question, have you ever snaked a dodge or a rush and blamed Nuffle for your bad dice?
Well, this is a regular occurrence across the thousands of games being played each week across
the world and it’s definitely Nuffles fault! (it Told Me!!) and the Doom League would like to
address this with their annual tournament.

Doom Bowl is a three-game individual tournament using the “Resurrection” format. BB
2025 rules will be used with all official rosters in use, and all errata in place also. The first
round will be random, thereafter Swiss drawn. This is a NAF sanctioned tournament.

Who are the Doom League?
The Doom League are a small group of blood bowlers that regularly meet each Sunday in the
Northeast of England. We are a group of gamers dispersed across South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead in the main but are welcoming to anyone from across the region.

Venue
The Venue is Gecko Gaming https://geckogaminggateshead.co.uk/. It is a small local store, and with that in mind we can only take 16 players comfortably for the tournament (so buy your tickets Quickly).

Tickets for our 1 day event cost £15 and are non-refundable.

Gecko Gaming have a variety of drinks and snacks for sale. There are various food outlets nearby for lunch including Asda two minutes walk away. No outside food is to be brought into store 

Parking spaces are limited outside the store, but there are plenty of spaces in Asda car park and the surrounding side streets.

The Tournament will run on Tourplay, so make sure you bring a smart phone. All rosters need to be submitted 1 week before it takes place. Rosters will be locked on the day before at 5pm

Draw = 1pt
Loss = 0pts

Prizes
Prizes and trophies will be awarded for the following. We expect to recognise 1st place, most
touchdowns, most casualties (SPP deriving only) wooden spoon and most Snakes . We also have a pair of Gecko Gaming D6 as a gift for all players.

Snaking your dice (Nuffles Curse)
Each time you “Snake” your dice rolls (rolling a 1 into a 1) on either a dodge roll or a Rush (GFI), make a note of it during your game on the piece of paper provided. Recording this each time has 2 effects on the game/tournament:

1. Each time you snake the above dice roll during any of your games it is added to an overall
total for the tournament with the most cursed winning a prize.
2. Each time your player snakes a dice roll; they immediately roll on the Nuffles Curse table for that player and immediately apply the result. The result applies for the rest of the game.

Nuffles Curse Table
1. Player becomes Loner 3+
2. Player sprains ankle -1 MV
3. Player gains Really Stupid due to concussion
4. Player is at a -1 to armour roll for this snaked roll only
5-6. If player snaked during a dodge roll, they gain the skill “Break Tackle”.
If they snaked during a Rush (GFI) they gain the skill “Sure Feet”

The tournament is a resurrection style, and all teams are built to 1.150.000 gold. Each team is
individually tiered and skills for each team are dependent upon that tiering.
All teams are chosen from 2025 ruleset and star players are not allowed

Tier 1 = 30 skill points
Amazon, OWA, Wood Elf, Orc
Tier 2 = 40 skill points
Necromantic Horror, Vampire, High Elf, Nurgle, Lizardmen, Dark Elves, Norse, Skaven, Underworld Denizens,
Tier 3 = 50 skill points
Imperial Nobility, Shambling Undead, Tomb Kings, Human,
Tier 4 = 60
Black Orc, Chaos Renegades, Khorne, Chosen, Chaos Dwarf, Dwarf, Bretonnian, Elven Union
Tier 5 = 70 skill points
Goblins, Gnomes, Ogre, Snotlings, Halflings

Skills
Mega Skills
Nuffle hates Block, Guard, Mighty Blow and Dodge and so sets a premium on these Mega skills, if you want to use them then they cost a heavy price to take.
Mega Skills cost 10pts (primary) and 20pts (secondary) per skill = Guard, Mighty Blow, Block, Dodge
All other Skills cost 5pts (primary) and 10pts (secondary)
There are no secondary restrictions. You may not stack skills.
Random Skills are Not allowed.
Stat increases are not allowed.

Inducements
Bribes 0-3 = 100k (50k with bribery and corruption)
Team Mascot 0-1 = 25k
Weather Mage 0-1 = 25k
Blitzers Best Kegs 0-2 = 50k
Riotous Rookies = 150k (teams with low-cost linemen only).
Halfling master Chef = 100k (Halflings only).
Biased Ref = 120k (80k with bribery and corruption
